Live online, not a recording
If you are searching for online Reiki training, the useful question is whether a teacher is actually present. Vanessa teaches every level live on a video call. She is there for the teaching and for the attunement. Nothing is played back from a recording, and nothing is automated.
In-person training in Canggu follows the same Usui Shiki Ryoho line, the same price, and the same small-group care. Choose the format that fits your life; the craft she hands over is the same. A fuller side-by-side lives on live online or in-person training.
How to learn Reiki here
- Start at Level 1 unless you already hold an earlier level from a recognised Usui Shiki Ryoho teacher. Level 1 is self-treatment, foundations and the symbols; later levels build from there.
- Choose Canggu or live online. Both include the manual, the attunement, and support after. Both are taught by Vanessa herself.
- Tell her when roughly suits. There is no fixed calendar and no advertised date. She arranges each course around the student in front of her, including time zones for online students.

Level 1 to Master Teacher
Four levels of Usui Shiki Ryoho, taught in groups of no more than six so every student is seen. Lineage is Usui to Hayashi to Takata, the line Vanessa claims and no other. Crystals are not part of this training. The Western chakra vocabulary is taught as useful language, and she says openly that it is a twentieth-century synthesis, not an ancient system.
Feeling nothing during an attunement is normal. Accurate expectations beat romantic ones.

- Do I need experience to start Level 1?
- No. You do not need to have meditated before and you do not need to believe anything in particular. Students often arrive sceptical and find the practice useful anyway.
