What does each Reiki training level actually cover — Level 1, Level 2, and Master/Teacher?

Level 1 gives you the first attunement and self-treatment for yourself; Level 2 adds a second attunement plus the symbols and technique for working at a distance; Master Teacher gives the third attunement and the ability to attune others. Each level is EUR 488, taught live in Canggu or online, in groups of six or fewer.
Reiki training runs in three levels: Level 1, Level 2 and Master Teacher. Each one builds on the last, and each is taught live by Vanessa, either in person in Canggu or over a live video call, never a recording and never an automated attunement. Every level costs EUR 488, in person or online, and includes the manual, the attunement itself and support afterwards. Training is different from a single visit: it hands you a skill you keep, rather than an hour of her care (for that, see private Reiki sessions).
Level 1: your own practice
Level 1 is where everyone starts. You receive the first attunement and learn the hand positions for treating yourself, and for treating others in person. Most of the level is about using Reiki on yourself day to day, until it stops feeling unfamiliar. Some students are happy to stop here, with a practice for themselves and their family. Others carry on to Level 2.
Level 2: symbols and distance work
Level 2 brings a second attunement and introduces the symbols used in Usui Shiki Ryoho, along with the technique for working at a distance (see what distance healing actually is). This is also where the chakra system comes in, taught as a useful way to talk about where someone holds tension, not as an ancient teaching: it was added to Reiki in the twentieth century, and Vanessa says so plainly rather than dressing it up. Students at this stage often start treating people outside their own household.
Master Teacher: attuning others
The third level gives the final attunement and trains you to attune and teach students of your own. It suits two kinds of people: those who want Reiki as fully as it goes in their own life, and those who plan to build a practice around teaching it. Vanessa trained to Master Teacher in 2019, at the Asian Healing Arts Center in Chiang Mai and with Vonny Stella in Ubud, and she teaches this level in both English and German. How the training runs
Groups stay small, no more than six people, and it is often just one student and Vanessa. There is no fixed calendar and no set start date: dates are arranged around you, whichever level you are training. Feeling nothing in particular during an attunement is common and not a sign anything went wrong. Vanessa would rather a student arrive with accurate expectations than romantic ones.
